LARSP Workshop and Conference?

Currently, researchers into the LARSP procedure have been discussing the possibility of organizing a Workshop and Conference at the University of Reading, in England.

This would be a most suitable location, as David Crystal, Paul Fletcher and Michael Garman were all in the Linguistics Department at Reading in the 1970s where they devised LARSP, and published the first text on it.

The recent publication of Assessing Grammar: the Languages of LARSP, edited by Ball, Crystal and Fletcher (see here), and the preparation of two  more volumes (to cover in total some 40 languages) has prompted an upswing of interest in LARSP. Therefore, a Workshop for LARSP developers and users, and a conference to describe the use of the system clinically, would appear to be timely.

Currently, we are looking at a time during 2013. If you wish to be kept informed of this workshop, please contact Vesna Stojanovik: v.stojanovik@reading.ac.uk
